About me

I’m Victor Salles — a backend developer working at the intersection of systems engineering and AI tooling.

My background is in Python and Django, building backend services and APIs. Over the past couple of years, I’ve expanded into macOS native development (Swift), automation scripting, and — more recently — designing AI agent architectures that go beyond single-prompt interactions.

I’m based in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. I work across English and Portuguese, and most of my projects are bilingual by default.

What I’m focused on

Right now I’m building tools that sit between developers and their machines. Things like:

  • A fully offline voice system for macOS that reads and transcribes with local AI models
  • A macOS service manager with a visual builder for launchd configurations
  • Structured multi-agent teams where AI agents have defined roles, memory, and escalation protocols

I believe the most interesting work in AI right now isn’t in building models — it’s in building the systems around them. The orchestration layers, the tooling, the workflows that make AI agents genuinely useful in day-to-day engineering work.

Stack

Primary: Python, Django/DRF, PostgreSQL, REST APIs Systems: Bash, macOS automation (Hammerspoon, LaunchAgents, AppleScript), Swift AI tooling: Claude Code, Anthropic SDK, local models (Kokoro TTS, mlx-whisper), multi-agent architectures Frontend (when needed): Vue.js, JavaScript, HTML/CSS Infrastructure: Docker, DigitalOcean, GitHub Actions
